Face LightHair Colouring
Brightening on the front strands that frame the face; a technique that carries light to the face and brings out your features.

What is face light?
Face light is a colouring technique in which the front strands framing the face are lightened. The whole head is not treated; only the section that frames the face is lifted and toned. The aim is to bring out the face, not the hair.
Placed correctly, the light is carried to the face: the cheekbones and jawline read more clearly and the expression comes alive. The thickness of the strands, the height at which they begin and the warmth of the tone are set according to the shape of your face and your undertone.
Who does it suit?
Face light stands out on hair that needs a visible difference with minimal intervention. Tap a card to see the detail.

Sometimes changing only the frame around the face is enough — not all of the hair.— Hasan Gezginci

The process
First comes the hair analysis and a reading of the face: the current colour, the history of the hair, the shape of the face and the undertone are assessed together. This is where we decide where the strands begin.
Then the technique is applied: the strands framing the face are sectioned off, the lightener is placed under control and the transition is softened towards the back of the hair. The last step is toning — the warmth of the light is adjusted to sit in harmony with your skin.

Frequently asked questions
Because the application is limited to the strands framing the face, most of the hair is left untouched. With the right lightener, the right timing and a technique suited to the hair structure, the health of the hair is protected; we recommend an analysis beforehand and an aftercare programme afterwards.
Since we work on a limited area, usually 1.5–2.5 hours. A plan made for you, based on your current colour and target tone, is agreed before the appointment.
Yes. On a dark base the lift is planned in stages so the front strands look natural, and the toning is chosen to suit the dark base.
Colour-protecting shampoo and heat-protected styling are enough. Because the area is limited, refresh sessions are short; periodic toning keeps the light vibrant.
